Argül Weave, which was planned to be built by Burak Pekoğlu of BINAA architecture office in Yıldırım, Bursa in 2012 and completed in 2014, has a different and more holistic understanding than the urban texture of Bursa.

Argül Weave is a versatile textile plaza designed upon the request of Argül Tekstil, which is located right next to it. It is planned for the development of the region and to enable Bursa Textile to climb much higher in international platforms.

The building, which was established on an area of 4500.0 m² in order to restore the region to its former glory, has 3 floors, with retail areas on the first floor and offices on the second and third floors. A restaurant area is located on the terrace.

The design structure is inspired by the harmonious combination of threads on a loom. Patara beige marble is used on the facade, and the effect of the waves of the facade is strengthened with marble. Dark red marble was used for the foundation and red brown Iriko wood from West Africa was used for the interior structure. The waves on the exterior of the building play with the lighting and make the building differently experienced at any time of the day.

In the building, which uses irico wood and large glass panels, the view from each opening is different due to the orientation of the building frame.

The building, which is located in an industrial site in Yıldırım, Bursa and is undoubtedly the favorite of its location and Bursa on a larger scale, has not been sufficiently promoted and the desired audiences have not been reached.

A lot of problems arose between the virtual drawings and reality, and it was worked on again and again during the design phase to correct these design mistakes.

The fact that this building, one of the most different examples of its field, is not recognized is its biggest deficiency. While keeping the texture and traditions of Bursa alive, an original and contemporary interpretation has been added to them.

What do you think about this building that should definitely be seen and examined? Do you think this building is far from being recognized? Is there anything missing or wrong with it? What are the differences between it and Vitra Fire Station, another different design?
